About Us

Based in Seattle, we are transplants to the Pacific Northwest from opposite climates and cultures. For the last 10 years, we've continuously redesigned our home and land to be less about lawns, more about food. We've harvested untold bounties of crops, from beans and peas, to kale and cauliflower. (Top dish? Spinach frittata.)

We've made foodies out of friends and traders out of neighbors. We've nurtured kids of all ages to get down and dirty with us, armed with a shovel, some seeds, and a smile.

We came to realize that beyond sharing our beautiful bounty, we could share the feeling of pure delight, sprout by sprout, bite by bite. Want to chat and help us build community? Let's talk!

Robert van Weezendonk

Robert is an Industrial Designer and Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in transportation, currently working on electric aviation. He likes model making, digging in the dirt, and whacking weeds. He's always loved playing with his food, especially posing his miniature fleet of tractors and trucks to plant, move, and harvest our crops.

Born in the Netherlands to a farmer's daughter, Robert has green thumbs galore and can turn any patch of land into an edible oasis.

Rebecca Kraus

Let them eat cake! (And ice cream, according to this photo.) Rebecca is a Content Designer with a love of language. She takes a shining to silliness and hates to waste so much as a leaf of lettuce. She's as excited as ever by what's on her plate, especially if it's homegrown and hand-harvested. She grew up eating diverse cuisine, at home in Southern California and around the globe.

Rebecca gets tickled pink picking produce and sharing what's in season with fellow foodies and land lovers.
